Abstract

Abstract

Dengue Haemorrhagic Fewer (DHF) has emerged as an inmportant publict health problem, with extensive inclined, follow the mobility increasing, population density with the follow cycle pattern cases. Beside dengue virus strain, DHF cases contribution influenced climatic determinants in spatial scope like climatic factors (temperature, rain fall, humidity), demography (population density), geography (topography) and DHF alleviation program (free number larva), all the factors give contribution to improve population aedes aegypty mosquito density as risk factorsDHF cases With the ecology study design, using ArcView GIS, this research purpose to spatial analysis risk factors DHF cases, to judgment decesion making as communication process to remove the cases, base of region in south sumatra provinve, cases and determinant collected between 2003-2007. Results of research from correlation with spearman rho analysis recognized direction relation betwen DHF cases and determinant factors like with population density, climatic factors like rain fall and humidity detected positive relation direction, with topography, temperature and DHF cases alleviation program (free number larva) detected negative relation direction For sugestion to program and cases management plan be better, according to diseases management base of region concept, with the result that cases no any more problem with public health.

Abstract

Background: The death rate due to Rabies in Indonesia is still quite high at 100-156 deaths per year, with a Case Fatality Rate of almost 100 percent. This illustrates that rabies is still a threat to public health. Statistically 98% of rabies is transmitted through dog bites, and 2% of the disease is transmitted by cats and monkeys.Purpose: make a literature review on rabiesMethod: using the literature review method by looking for articles related to the rabies theme on Pubmed, so that 30 articles were obtained according to the theme and extractedResult: Recognizing the disease's intricacy and manner of transmission might help to inform prevention and control approaches. The development and implementation of effective rabies elimination programs should involve veterinarians, public health professionals, physicians, ecologists, and vaccine manufacturers. Synchronization of operations through a multidisciplinary approach increases the likelihood of overcoming technical and infrastructural impediments to regional forces that drive disease management under the One Health concept.Keyword: Rabies; Disease: Rabies Disease: Literature Review

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 1.5 billion individuals, or roughly 24% of the global population, are infected with intestinal worms, which primarily affect school-aged children. India is home to a third of the world's 2.5 billion people without access to proper sanitation, as well as two-thirds of the 11 billion people who practice open defecation and a quarter of the 15 million people who die each year from diarrhoeal diseases. This work does a literature review to investigate the effects of helminthiasis. The articles obtained were extracted and conclusions were drawn from a literature study of intestinal worms using the PubMed database; the number of articles extracted became a conclusion of up to 30 articles, and the strategy for searching for articles in the database used the keywords "disease," "worms," and "worm disease." The impact of gastrointestinal helminth infections on the developing microbiota of juvenile hosts is poorly understood. Four different procedures were employed to determine worm infestation. Anthelmintic resistance (AR) in intestinal helminths of dogs and cats has only been observed on a few occasions, in contrast to parasites of livestock and horses. Soil-transmitted helminths afflict billions of people worldwide, primarily in low- and middle-income countries with inadequate sanitation and high levels of air and water pollution.

Abstract

Efforts in the prevention and treatment of leprosy have improved, but until now leprosy is still difficult to be eliminated so that it is still a problem in the world of health. The incidence of new leprosy patients has not decreased, although the prevalence of leprosy continues to decline through the WHO program, namely multi-drug therapy (MTD). Several new cases have been found without involving any contact history. It is suspected that there is a contribution from sources other than humans, namely non-humans such as animals and the environment. This article discusses the sources of transmission of M. leprae from animals and the environment. Research using literature review is limited to the last 10 years by reviewing 8 relevant journals about sources of transmission and modes of transmission from the environment and non-humans in Mycobacterium leprae. This article has been filtered from 35 articles sourced from the Pubmed, NCBI, Plos One and Science Direct databases, then there are 23 articles that are not relevant, so 12 articles were reviewed. Based on the results of a review article that the source of leprosy transmission came from animals, it was found in Rhodnius prolixus, Dasypus novemcinctus and red squirrels, while chimpanzees and monkeys were not the source of M. leprae transmission. In the environment where M. leprae is commonly found in the soil.
