Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the performance of portfolio investment and to analyzethe composition of portfolio investment that could give optimum result. Based on the analysis,the average returns of portfolio always exceed the annual investment’s target. The calculationof portfolio optimization is using two assumptions, there are minimizing the portfoliorisk and maximizing portfolio average return. The prior average return before the portfoliooptimization is 11.85% with a risk 1.18%. The portfolio optimization result using the assumptionsof risk minimizing obtained average return reach 9.61% with a risk of 0.68% andaverage return reach 11.85% with a risk of 0.68%. Meanwhile, the result of portfolio optimizationusing the assumption of return maximizing obtained average return reach 13.00%with a risk of 1.47% and average return reach 12.59% with a risk of 1.18%.Keywords: retired fund, the performance of portfolio optimization, return, risk

Abstract

this studyanalyze the effect of the movement of macroeconomic variables (SBI, exchange rate, inflation, oil prices and Composite Stock Price Index (JCI)) and predict the stock price of the individual returns and return a proxy INDEX in plantation sub-sector. This study used the analytical techniques of multifactor APT model of equation (Multivariate Regression Model) to determine the effect of macroeconomic variables on stock returns in plantation sub-sector group. Furthermore,the formation of the share price index estimation model APT as a proxy (proxy INDEX) was done. Methods Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) was used to study the response of stock returns and risk to changes in macroeconomic variables. Factor in world oil prices and a significant negative effect on stock returns AALI, LSIP, SGRO, SMAR, TBLA, UNSP and return the proxy INDEX. exchange rates factors provide a positive and significant affect to stock returns AALI, LSIP, SMAR, TBLA and return the proxy INDEX. SBI Factors had a significantly negative affect to the return TBLA, while the SBI had positive affect to return AALI, SMAR and return the proxy INDEX. Inflation factor had a significantly positive effect to returns TBLA and had a significantly negative effect to the change in return INDEX proxy. Agricultural index and JCI index had a significantly positive effect to stock returns AALI, LSIP, SGRO, SMAR, TBLA, UNSP and return the proxy INDEX.

Abstract

Efficiency is an important indicator needed by a bank to survive in tight competition, change in consumer behavior, and increase economic cooperation among countries. The objective of this study was to analyze the efficiency of BUMN Bank of BUKU Empat and its determinants. The method used to analyze the efficiency was the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) by Variable Return to Scale (VRS) Approach. Besides, the analysis of its determinants used Data Panel regression. During the research periods, several findings were provided. Firstly, Bank BRI has resulted in the highest score of efficiency. Secondly, the results of data panel regression suggested that Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), the share of the deposit (PDPK), Return on Asset (ROA), Exchange Rate (ER), and GDP Growth (GDP) were positively related to. Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Total Asset (TA), and Inflation (INF) were negatively related. The future studies suggested to use a more extended data period and compared with banks in countries that have the same economic character.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the economy of Jambi in 2010, it analyzes the link and multiplier effect sectors, and the contribution of oil palm to regional economic of Jambi province. The results showed that during the period of 2000 and 2010, the economy of Jambi overall has developed very significantly as its output reach Rp18.087.666 million in 2000 to Rp103.362.415 trillion in 2010. Some of structural parameters of the I-O analysis also have increased. Backward direct effect reach 0,3423 for palm oil and 0,3792 for CPO industry in 2010. Forward direct effect reach 0,0077 for palm oil and 0,0090 for CPO industry in 2010. Output multiplier of type I 1,4301 for palm oil and 1,5516 for CPO industry in 2010. Income multiplier of type I 1,2465 for palm oil and 2,8678 for CPO industry in 2010. Em-ployment multiplier of type I 1,2584 for palm oil and 3,6977 for CPO industry in 2010.Keywords: local economy, oil palm, Jambi province, input-output analysis, multiplier effect
